To TransAsia Airways Chairman Vincent Lim, this new service represents a significant milestone for his company. “We look forward to working closely with Changi Airport Group to grow our business in Singapore and the region,” he said in a statement.
Yam Kum Weng, Changi’s executive vice president for air hub development, also points to the benefits of this new service.
“We warmly welcome to Changi Airport TransAsia Airways, an established Taiwanese airline with a heritage of good service and reliability,” he said in a statement. “The commencement of TransAsia’s Taipei-Singapore service is timely to meet the strong travel demand by both Taiwan and Singapore residents on this sector.”
TransAsia will operate out of Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 and utilize Airbus A320 aircraft.
