Kerry Logistics buys two forwaders

In an effort to expand its reach in the UK, Kerry Logistics has purchased Manchester, England-based Bergen Freight Forwarding Limited and Yorkshire, England-based Regency Forwarding Limited. Terms of the deal were not announced.

Regency deals primarily in airfreight and seafreight imported to the UK from the U.S. and Asia. Bergen works with seafreight imports from the Far East and India.

“Bergen and Regency will strengthen the Kerry Logistics’ network in the UK and across Europe as well as extending our reach into the UK’s major manufacturing regions in the North of England,” Gary Wilcock, the Kerry’s managing director, Europe, said in a statement.
