Alaska Air Cargo has delivered the season’s first shipment of Copper River salmon to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This maiden shipment marks the start of the summer salmon season. Last year, Alaska Air Cargo flew nearly 25 million pounds of seafood to U.S. destinations.
Singapore Changi Airport handled 148,200 tonnes of cargo in April, a 4.9 percent, year-over-year, decrease. From a 12-month perspective, however, Changi Airport has actually seen an uptick in airfreight operations — volumes have increased 1.3 percent, year-over-year.
IAG Cargo has announced the launch of its website, www.iagcargo.com. Infinity Cargo Express Ltd. of Hong Kong has deployed CargoWise’s ediEnterprise software system. The forwarder, which has a network of offices across China, will utilize the system when handling exports to the U.S., Australia, Europe and New Zealand.
