  • FedEx has opened a S$97-million hub at Singapore Changi Airport, a move that will enhance its operations in Southeast Asia and boost access to global markets. The hub, which is FedEx’s largest consolidated facility in the Asia-Pacific, houses air, ground and clearance operations.
  • Qatar Airways has resumed thrice-weekly flights to Yangon, Myanmar, after a four-year absence. The route will be operated on Airbus 319 aircraft.
  • IAG Cargo has flown 50 oil paintings from Quito to Madrid for an upcoming bicentennial exhibition. The valuable, fragile goods had to be packed to protect against vibration and changes in temperature; they also had to be handled with the utmost care.
