The 2012 award, which was presented to Cargolux Feb. 7, is the third consecutive year the airline has received the award.
Cargolux began regular 747 freighter flights to Budapest in October 2002 and has increased its presence at the airport ever since. The airline has also upgraded its Hungarian air cargo services from the Boeing 747-400F to the new Boeing 747-8F, creating increased payloads and better economies.
Budapest Airport has recognized Cargolux for taking these steps.
“Cargolux is proud to see its efforts and initiatives in Hungary honored once again by the Budapest airport authorities,” said Cargolux country manager Anthony McNichol. “Budapest is an important stop on our routes between Asia and Europe, and we are happy to receive the support of shippers and forwarders who benefit from our fast and efficient freighter services.”
