United Cargo has named Kyle Betterton as vice president airports Americas, Asia and EMEA. He was previously United’s managing director of airport operations and cargo for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The airline also announced the appointment of Jim Bellinder as vice president, sales for United Cargo. In his new role, Bellinder reports to United Cargo President Robbie Anderson and is responsible for all United Cargo Sales activities around the globe. Etihad Airways made several appointments within its cargo division. Robert Fordree has been promoted from senior network performance manager to Head of Cargo Handling. Rory Black has been appointed head of cargo commercial planning and joins Etihad Cargo from Gulf Air. Roberto Casabianca joins Etihad Cargo from British Airways as head of cargo sales. Bmi regional has appointed Ingeborg Gillego as sales manager. Gillegot was previously head of global accounts management for Brussels Airlines and area manager for the airline’s Africa region. She has also held senior roles within Air New Zealand.

DFW International Airport CEO Jeff Fegan announced his plans to retire after serving 28 years with DFW Airport, the last 19 years as its CEO.

Swissport International has named Sabine Meinitz as vice president for corporate communications and marketing. Meinitz, who has many years experience in senior communications with companies including NEC Display Solutions Europe and Texas Instruments, will be responsible for Swissport’s corporate communications and marketing strategy development and execution, including public and investor relations. Swissport says the new position was created as a result of the company’s growth.
