Finnair Cargo added an extra freighter service Wednesday from Helsinki to New York’s JFK due to increased demand.
Juha Järvinen, managing director of Finnair Cargo said there had been a freight backlog in Helsinki, partly due to last week’s snowstorm and flight cancellations along the U.S. East Coast. The extra flight was operated due to backlog clearance, he said.
“We have good demand to the U.S. currently from the Nordic region,” Järvinen said.
