Reinhard Lange has stepped down from his post as CEO of Kuehne + Nagel International AG effective May 7 due to health reasons.
Until the termination of his contract on Dec. 31, Lange will continue to work in a consultancy role.
Lange has been CEO since 2009 and has worked with the company for more than 40 years.
The search for the next CEO has already begun, and a management team led by chairman Karl Gernandt will take over the tasks of Lange.
After Lange started his professional career with Kuehne + Nagel in Bremen, he was member of the management boards in the Asia-Pacific region and in Germany before he became managing director of Kuehne + Nagel in Canada. In 1999, he was appointed to the management board of Kuehne + Nagel International AG.
