Swissport International announced Thursday that John Batten is stepping down from his position as executive vice president cargo services and member of the group executive management.
He will leave Swissport Aug. 31 to “pursue new opportunities,” according to a statement from Swissport.
Batten joined Swissport from Qatar Airways in August 2008, taking over the position of executive vice president cargo services.
“His contribution has been pivotal to the success of the Swissport’s cargo division,” Per H. Utnegaard, group president & CEO of Swissport International, said. “Swissport is very grateful for John’s dedication and exceptional contribution over the past five years.”
Swissport has not announced who will be Batten’s successor.
