The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has recommend that first officers who fly for U.S. passenger and cargo carriers attain Airline Transport Pilot certification, instead of only commercial pilot certification. Such a designation would require co-pilots to increase their required flight time from 250 hours to 1,500 hours. read more
Chinese authorities are slated to begin construction on Beijing’s newest airport later this year. State-owned China Radio International said that the yet-to-be-named airport will handle 5.5. million tonnes of freight annually when it opens its doors in October 2017. read more
