U.S. leaders agree on FAA bill

The Federal Aviation Administration is one step closer to having its authorities fully reinstated, thanks to an agreement forged by House and Senate leaders. Congress is expected to vote on the bipartisan bill, which would fund the FAA’s programs through fiscal 2015, before the association’s temporary extension expires on February 17. read more

Cargo markets rebound slightly in December

Global freight volumes rebounded late last year, despite weak traffic throughout 2011, International Air Transport Association data revealed. Growing 0.2 percent, year-over-year, in December, cargo markets recorded a 0.7 percent, year-over-year, loss for the entire 12-month period. read more
