Cargolux Airlines International announced Tuesday the resignation of Peter van de Pas (pictured above), the company’s senior vice president and COO. Van de Pas came to Cargolux in January 2009 from the former KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Cargolux said van de Pas, who is also a member of the company’s executive committee, will leave the company effective March 31. No reason was given for the resignation.
The resignation is the second in less than a week for Cargolux. Last Thursday, the company announced that Robert van de Weg (pictured right), the company’s senior vice president, marketing and sales, had resigned due to differences regarding Cargolux’s strategy for the future. Both moves come in the wake of Chinese investor HNCA acquiring a 35 percent stake in the airline in December 2013.
“The Board of Directors and the Executive Management are thankful for Peter van de Pas’s contributions and wish him all the best for the future,” the company said in Tuesday’s announcement.
