Air Charter Service books charter flight every 70 minutes
Ruan Courtney, managing director of Air Charter Service, said ACS saw one of its largest-ever single jumps in charter numbers.
Air Charter Service reported growth of 14 percent year over year in the number of charter contracts during its financial year from Feb. 1, 2013, to Jan. 31, 2014.
ACS completed almost 7,500 charter contracts during the year, though revenue did not rise by the same percentage.
“We have seen constant year-on-year growth for several years, but this is one of the largest single jumps in charter numbers that we’ve ever had. The figure means that, on average, we book a charter every 70 minutes and that because most charter contracts consist of more than one flight sector, an ACS chartered aircraft departs more than once an hour, every hour of every day,” Ruan Courtney, managing director, said. “Although revenue has not increased by the same percentage – proving that it is a tougher market than in previous years – the positive side is that we are still gaining market share.”
