Global Aviation Holdings, Inc. has named Hendrik Falk Vice President-Cargo Sales, reporting to Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Sanborn. He will be responsible for all commercial activities involving the company’s fleet of Boeing 747-400BCFs and MD-11Fs. Falk most recently served as Vice President Sales and Marketing for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India for Polar Air Cargo. Prior to that, he was associated with Lufthansa Cargo based in Atlanta, Frankfurt and Singapore. Georgia-based Global Aviation Holdings is the parent company of North American Airlines and World Airways.
Mariusz Kuczek has been appointed Director and General Manager of Cargo & Mail Bureau at LOT Polish Airlines. Kuczek previously was associated with Schenker and served as President of Air Cargo Poland Geopost Group. Kuczek will oversee the development of the Cargo Department, cooperation with agents and forwarders on Polish and foreign markets and implement the new cargo management system.
Lufthansa Cargo has made several changes in top management, effective Feb. 1, 2010. Martin Schlingensiepen has been named head of the new Product Management division. Schlingensiepen, who previously served as Area Manager Asia Pacific, will report to Board Member Product and Sales, Dr. Andreas Otto. Helge Kruger-Lorenzen will succeed Schlingensiepen as Area Manager Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Stefan Wieners, former head of Road Feeder Services, will take over as head of Global
Network and Sales Steering division, effective April 1, 2010. Additionally, Bernhard Kindelbacher has been appointed the new head of Strategy, Subsidiaries & Business Development. He succeeds Wolfgang Schmitz, who is retiring. Kindelbacher previously led the Network & Product Management division, which is being disbanded.

J.D. Gamble, formerly the president of the Board of National Transportation & Logistics Association, is a member of the board of the Messenger & Courier Association of
America (MCAA). The move is one more step as the two associations join forces under the MCAA banner. Gamble brings over 30 years of experience in the same-day delivery industry to the MCAA board. He is the president & CEO of AEX Group. MCAA President Michael Gualtieri said, “As the two organizations unite, it made sense
to add J.D.’s experience to our board. We are particularly pleased to have J.D. on the board because of the integral role he has played in the development of courier certification standards for the banking and pharmaceutical services sectors over the last few years.”

Aramex has named Tommy Kelly Chief Executive Officer, Europe. Based at the company’s Ballyboughal facility just outside Dublin, Kelly is responsible for the activities
of Aramex’s own operations in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. Kelly founded the TwoWay Group in Ireland and expanded the business into the leading UK-Ireland
overnight road express service. He then developed the business into an internationally recognized player and an Aramex service partner, with operations across Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands. Aramex acquired the TwoWay Group in 2006 to form a key part of its European network and international expansion plan.
Aeronet has appointed Tony L. Medeiros President and Chief Executive Officer. Medeiros has served as Aeronet’s President and Chief Operating Officer since October 2002. With Medeiros as President and COO, Aeronet has grown threefold in revenues, expanded to the Asian and European markets and effectively established
itself as a significant provider of integrated global logistics. Founded in 1982, Aeronet has grown to over 600 offices and partners located throughout the United States and in 75 countries worldwide.
Associated Global Systems (AGS) has named Stan Byra District Manager, Sales & Service at its Los Angeles facility. Byra, who has held management positions with Conway, Overnight and McCollister’s Transportation Group, most recently served as Director Regional Express Services/Global Network Services for VSR Logistics. Also, Columbus Rankin has joined the company in the position of District Sales Manager at their Cincinnati area terminal. Rankin was responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies as well as overseeing operations, as the Sales and Terminal Manager at Atlantic-Pacific Air & Transport.
CargoWise edi, a supply chain logistics management systems company, has named David Rollason as Senior Vice President Business Growth, Optimization and Performance. He will be responsible for managing technical and process integration of new components, applications and architectures. Rollason will also be participating in growth related strategy and management across the company. Rollason most recently worked with Soltech, where he was responsible for running and successfully
delivering a large, custom software application development that improved warehousing, shipping and manufacturing operations for the company.
Flavio Renfer has joined European Cargo Services (ECS) in the new post of Vice President Business Development & Customer Relations. Based in Frankfurt, he is responsible for new airline customers and maintaining customer relationships. The role also incorporates ECS’ working partnerships with global forwarding organizations. Flavio joined ECS from Delta Air Lines, where he held the post of Regional Director Western Europe. He previously held senior management posts with United Airlines in Washington and KLM in Chicago and Switzerland.
GFF Airfreight Solutions has been formed by Achim van der Graff, who worked with Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for more than 30 years. The company will handle air cargo door-to-door shipments to and from the Netherlands. For more information, visit www.gffairfreightsolutions.nl.
OHL has named Jeff Gosline senior director of business development for the 3PL’s North America Transportation business unit. Gosline will be responsible for new sales of OHL’s managed transportation service offering in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He has nearly 20 years of logistics and supply chain experience, most recently serving
as senior director of business development for ATC Logistics & Electronics.
Ground handling services provider Swissport International has tapped several airfreight specialists for new management duties covering the Dutch and French cargo markets. In Amsterdam, Jan van Anrooy, former head of Swissport’s local cargo organization, will be replaced by Wouter Brand, who will continue in his present capacity
as Global Key count Manager at Swissport Head Office until a successor is appointed. In France, Jean-Didier Savioz, Head of Ground Handling at Swissport France and President of Swissport France, will assume full responsibility for all Swissport business lines in France. A new General Manager will handle cargo duties by January. ACW
