More cargo booking incentives from American
AA's American Eagle subsidiary operated one of the first relief flights into Port-au-Prince, Haiti last month.
American Airlines (AA) has enhanced its Business ExtrAA program to allow "nearly all" customers to earn travel awards when making a cargo booking.
For every shipment, whatever the size or booking method, AA cargo customers can earn points that can be redeemed for travel-related awards. Previously, the program only applied to online bookings.
For every $40,000 in revenue to AA, customers will get a "PlanAAhead" economy class award ticket for the Continental U.S., Canada and Mexico. In addition, shippers will earn 20 more points for using the company’s express freight product plus five points for booking online. Customers can earn up to 200,000 points per year.
Dave Brooks, president of AA's Cargo Division said, “We are focused on maintaining and rewarding customer loyalty. We believe the enhanced Business ExtrAA program for AA Cargo provides an excellent way to add value and to let our customers know how much we appreciate their business.”
