UPS Express Freight expands
UPS has expanded its Express Freight service into Israel and Slovakia, now guaranteeing one- to three-day, door-to-door service to the two destinations.
Cargo carrier moves to passenger market
The U.S. Department of Transportation has granted Michigan-based National Airlines international passenger charter authority, allowing National to transport people, property and mail for 25 years. Previously, National Airlines had only offered all-cargo service.
Germany in for slow air cargo growth
German air cargo volume will increase by 6 percent in 2011 following a 0.8 percent growth last year, according to the firm Research and Markets. Tonnage this year is anticipated to reach the 3.567 million mark.
