TNT N.V. announces demerger of its Express business
As of May 25, TNT N.V.'s Express business is no longer part of the larger company and has been spun off into a new entity, TNT Express N.V. The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) approved the move.
Turkish Cargo off to strong start in 2011
Turkish Cargo carried 119,770 tonnes of cargo during the four-month period from January to April, a 21.6 percent year-over-year increase. The carrier also saw a 36.9 percent growth in cargo revenues.
Swiss WorldCargo launches four new direct routes
Swiss WorldCargo has entered into a capacity agreement with holiday charter airline Edelweiss Air, enabling it to serve four new destinations this summer. Beginning in June, Swiss WorldCargo will operate direct weekly flights from its Zurich hub to Beijing; Anchorage, Alaska; Orlando, Fla.; and Beirut.
