EGSAC Adds Pakistan

EGSAC – the independent GSSA network – has appointed Airline Marketing Services (AMS) as its exclusive member for Pakistan. The addition of AMS, which represents Air Canada Cargo in the region, brings membership to 31 in 32 countries.

AMS Director Omar Johri said, “Pakistan is a very strong export market, with the largest trading lanes being to North America, Europe, the Middle East and Far East. Airfreight plays an important role in international trade and the potential for carriers is vast. We are looking to expand our market share and business by working with further carrier clients, and helping them to exploit the tremendous opportunity presented by this country.”

EGSAC President Ton Smulders added, “This area has remained buoyant throughout the industry’s recent tough trading conditions and we expect a great deal of carrier interest in the future, as they re-shape their networks and re-allocate their fleets to achieve better revenue and yields."
