AirClic Touts Fusion2 Features

Mobil solutions provider AirClic has added features to its Fusion2 product line that facilitate compatibility with multiple device types.

The features include a larger battery that runs longer; an improved modular design that allows the Fusion2 to adapt to multiple phone models, and real-time status indication, the Pennsylvania-based company said.

Fusion2 has been tested to withstand rugged environments similar to the testing for the Samsung A657, which has been certified to Military Standard MI-STD-810F for shock, vibration, rain, humidity, altitude and temperature extremes, the company said. Samsung A657 is available in the U.S. exclusively from AT&T.

“The Fusion2 device enhances our product line to bring a unique combination of features to enterprises,” said Tim Bradley, CEO of AirClic. “Fusion2 validates our ability to design and deliver mobile solutions that can truly mobilize the enterprise regardless of carrier or device selection.”

In a recent customer poll, a majority of end users touted the use of a device that provides expanded data capture options supporting signature capture, image capture and voice notes in addition to the barcode scanning, GPS and push to talk of previously available devices, to improve their data accuracy, according to AirClic.

"This device benefited from collaboration between AT&T and AirClic to help improve productivity of employees in the most demanding environments," said Igor Glubochansky, director, mobility product management, AT&T Business Solutions.

He added, "AirClic has made it simple for customers to get the most out of their investments in rugged GPS-enabled handsets with this unique barcode scanning and signature capture device, and AirClic mobile applications running on the AT&T network.”
