All-cargo airline Cargolux on Tuesday announced it will start a weekly service to Miami with continuation to Houston before returning to its home base in Luxembourg.
The flight is operated every Sunday morning, departing from Luxembourg at 8:30 a.m., with arrival in Miami at 12:50 p.m. Departure for Houston is at 2:50 p.m., arriving at 4:30 p.m. Return from Houston is at 6:30 p.m., with arrival in Luxembourg on Monday morning at 10:15 a.m. All times are local times.
The carrier said the Boeing 747-400 freighters on the route will primarily load machinery, oil well equipment and automotive parts.
Cargolux will offer connections on 'through airway-bill' to destinations including Manaus, Caracas and Lima.
Cargolux currently operates one flight to Houston on Thursdays, and offers additional trucking services from Los Angeles to Houston, in connection with the company's Los Angeles flights, which are operated on Wednesdays and Fridays.
