Executive Relocation International last week pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., to conspiracy to restrain trade. The forwarder agreed to pay $72,600 in criminal fines, the Department of Justice said.
Executive admitted to actions during its participation in a Department of Defense program. Four other companies have been charged in an ongoing investigation of anticompetitive and fraudulent conduct into the movement of military household goods.
The felony charge relates to a conspiracy in 200 and 2001 to file collusively determined rates with DOD. Under the plea agreement, Executive agreed to assist in the ongoing investigation.
