The European Commission requested information from the UK unit of Expeditors International, the company said Friday.

The Commission is investigating allegations of antitrust violations in the freight forwarding industry. In October, the U.S. Department of Justice served Expeditors with a subpoena for information and documents.

The company said it is cooperating in the investigation.
