The International Air Cargo Association appointed express delivery veteran Sue Presti as its Washington D.C. lobbyist.
In her new role, Presti will represent TIACA's interest before the U.S. Congress and regulatory authorities in the nation's capital. She will also work closely with John Raven, her counterpart who represents TIACA in Brussels, home of the European Union.
"Sue has a proven track record of accomplishing exactly the type of work TIACA needs to be done in Washington and Europe," said Jack Boisen, chairman of TIACA and vice president of cargo for Continental Airlines.
"At a time when so many different policies -- particularly in the areas of security and the environment -- have an immediate impact on air cargo operations, I hope this work can make a difference for TIACA members," said Presti following her appointment.
During the last 13 years, Presti served as executive director of the Express Delivery & Logistics Association's Government Affairs Committee.
Presti will take up her new role on August 1.
