Privately-held forwarder Pilot Freight Services broke its own record for sales in the second quarter.
Revenue increased 15.7 percent compared with last year to reach $98.7 million. In the month of June, sales hit $35.2 million, the best single month ever for the company.
"The credit for this success goes to each of our stations, who have all stepped up to maintain Pilot's success, even in this difficult economy," said CEO Richard G. Phillips Jr.
Pilot did not report net earnings.
