Air Cargo Excellence Survey

Air Cargo World is proud to present the first ever Air Cargo Excellence (ACE) awards, created to provide invaluable insight and to award those who exceed above the norm. The charts on the following pages reveal how airports and air carriers fared in a comprehensive survey conducted by Air Cargo World.

Airports are divided into subcategories based on how many tons they handle annually, and were rated by carriers, charter operators, integrators and forwarders. Air carriers are subdivided by service categories: North America, international, charters and integrator/express delivery. The carriers, charters and integrators were rated by forwarders.

Survey respondents were asked to evaluate each company by rating 4 measures on a scale of 1 to 5; 1 is low and 5 is high. For each measure, the average rating across all companies studied in the survey is calculated and set to a value of 100. Ratings for each company are presented as an Indexed Score, relative to the average, to allow for easy comparisons:

  • A score greater than 100 represents above average performance
  • A score less than 100 represents below average performance
  • A score of 100 represents exactly average performance

Airports were graded on performance, value, facilities and regulatory operations. Air carriers were graded on customer service, performance, value and information technology.
