ATA implores Congress to guard GPS from obstruction
The Air Transport Association of America (ATA) has called upon Congress to protect the nation’s global positioning system (GPS) from being obstructed by LightSquared, a 4G open broadband network. After all, the ATA maintains, any interference from the network could severely delay the deployment of the Next Generation Air Transportation System, or NextGen.
Kerry Logistics expands in eastern China
Kerry Logistics announced that it has begun construction of an 85,300-square-foot facility in Wuxi, China, an economic hotspot in the Jiangsu province. With a capacity of 10,000 tonnes, the Wuxi Logistics Centre is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.
Thai Airways, Brussels Airport launch Bangkok-Brussels route
Thai Airways International and Brussels Airport (BRU) have established a direct route between Bangkok and Brussels. This development comes after the recent Routes Asia meeting in Incheon, South Korea, in which the two entities forged a connection.
