UPS Express Freight expands

UPS now offers guaranteed service to Israel and Slovakia

UPS has expanded its Express Freight service into Israel and Slovakia, now guaranteeing one- to three-day, door-to-door service to the two destinations.

Both locations are highly valuable targets for UPS. In Israel, the company expects to traffic mostly in high-tech goods, but also anticipates freight like auto and aviation parts, jewelery, and gemstones. UPS will deal primarily as a player Slovakia's automotive and industrial manufacturing sector.

“Israel and Slovakia are increasingly important players in the global trade arena," Scott Aubuchon, UPS' director of international air freight marketing, said in a statement. “Our decades of experience in the high-tech, industrial and automotive industries combined with our expertise in global trade and international air freight makes UPS well-positioned to address the growing import and export needs of these countries.”
