Coyne Links With Jade Cargo

Coyne has signed a deal with Jade Cargo to operate a B747-400 freighter from Frankfurt to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Starting on July 1, the new Wednesday service adds to an existing Monday flight from London Stansted via Cologne to Tbilisi.

Coyne will offer trucking connections throughout continental Europe as well as the UK, allowing a Tuesday evening close-out. The Thursday morning arrival allows freight to be cleared in Tbilisi and deliveries to Yerevan and Baku before the weekend.

Coyne Airways has been operating to the Caspian region for 15 years and launched its first B747F service to Tbilisi in December 2006. From there it flies to Aktau, Atyrau and Uralsk in Kazakhstan as well as linking Baku in Azerbaijan and Yerevan in Armenia via truck.

CEO Larry Coyne said, “Operating from Frankfurt allows quicker connections from Coyne Airways’ interline partners flying from North America so that cargo leaving the USA for Frankfurt on Tuesday evening can connect with our next day departure to Tbilisi. We are delighted to be working with such a strong partner as Jade Cargo, given its reputation for service excellence and proven commitment to quality.”
